Fell's night is about to take a turn for the worst. While he's in the bathroom, Mayko plots a way to keep Fell safe from the city she believes is going to kill him if he doesn't protect himself. As he returns from the bathroom, Mayko comes from behind and brands Fell on the neck with the mark of Snowtown. Fell is obviously shocked and in pain and on the way home contemplates the dangerous mixture of strangers and alcohol.
